Peter Tattersall
Peter Tattersall
Managing Director

Peter founded tattersall training in 1992, it was incorporated as a limited company on 8 January 2007. As the reputation of the company grew and its customers increased, he invited a talented team of associate trainers to join him. 

He is the author of a handbook on the management and prevention of violence published by the NSPCC. He was also a contributing author to Key Issues in Child Protection for Health Visitors and Nurses published by Pitmans. 

He works in a voluntary capacity for CACH (children adopted from China) and teaches the odd art class at his daughter's school.



Onika Staas
Onika Staas
Personal Assistant

Born in South Africa and grew up in Germany, Onika studied hotel management and worked for a couple of years in South Africa and Germany. She has workedd for different hotel groups first in reservations, then as sales representative and later as sales manager.   She studied foreign language correspondence in English, French and Spanish for a year and then worked as a PA to the Project Manager at Panalpina World Transport in Germany.

Four years ago she set up her business as a virtual PA in Germany. Three years ago she moved her clients and her business to England.



Melissa Bito

Melissa Biro

Associate Training Consultant


Melissa Biro studied English at University College, London, and then got a TEFL qualification. She taught in Portugal for 10 years, eventually running her own language school there. Returning to England, she went back to university to do an MA while at the same time working as a lecturer in an international university in London.

After twelve years lecturing and career counselling she left the academic world to go into business – ultimately moving into writing, training and consultancy.

She has developed numerous training courses in areas of business, communications and study skills.




Sara Simmons

Nirveen Chotai FCIPD is a management consultant and trainer with numerous years of experience operating across the public and voluntary sectors. She has designed and delivered tailor made management training for the voluntary, public and private sectors. In addition to generic management skills training she has worked with several organisations on issues of diversity. She was the first race equality officer in the NHS.




Ruth Dover

Ruth Dover

Associate Training Consultant


Ruth developed her people skills initially through the 12 years she spent as a qualified Social Worker. She then became a Staff Development & Training Officer for a London Borough.  She took on the role of Training manager for a Staff Development Team in Social Services for 3 years. She has gained qualifications in Training Management and a Diploma in Personnel and Development (IPD).

In 1996 she became a Trainer and Coach. Since that time she has developed a wide portfolio of short training courses and consultancy services to over 5,000 participants across the country.




Debby Monkhouse

Debby Monkhouse

Associate Training Consultant


Debby has 15 years teaching and training experience in a variety of subjects, and has worked with a wide range of people, including public and voluntary sector staff, adults with mental health issues and adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. She also has eleven years experience as a counsellor and group leader.

In addition to her work for tattersall training, Debby currently works as a counsellor of adults who experienced childhood sexual abuse, and as a Project Manager & Senior Trainer on the NHS Expert Patients Programme.




Nick St John

Nick is a consultant, coach & trainer working with change leaders, managers and their teams to achieve their goals, bring about change, and improve their effectiveness. He has a strong belief, borne out in practice, in people’s intelligence and ability to change organisations and their own situation for the better, when given the opportunity.

Nick has conducted a wide variety of change management, leadership, and team development projects, during his twenty years' experience as a manager and consultant, with both commercial and public sector organisations.

Sarah Simmons
Associate Training Consultant

Sarah has 25 years' experience working as an actress and dialogue coach. She has worked in every area of theatre, from Fringe and Repertory companies to the National Theatre. She has also worked in film, television, and radio. Her work as a Voice and Dialogue coach includes private tuition to foreign English speakers to improve accent, work with individuals who have specific voice needs, and corporate clients as well as work with actors in theatre film and television.

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Voice Studies awarded by the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has been a Voice and Dialogue Coach since 1992 and worked as a film dialogue coach on many films including Ridley Scott’s 1492.
