Our methods

Why is learning style important?

Attention to difference

We focus on the learning needs of every individual who comes on our courses.  We understand that different people learn in different ways.  For this reason we use techniques that suit varied styles of learning.  The result?  Each individual can remember and use their new skills as soon as they get back to work.

Understanding learning styles

Recent studies show that some people learn best when they see words, pictures and tables. Others learn best when they hear explanations, descriptions and stories. Still others need to try things out for themselves. At Tattersall Training we use techniques that involve the learners' senses in ways that make it easier for all of them to remember and use the course material.

Creating the right atmosphere

We believe that people learn best when they feel relaxed and interested.  So our training sessions take place in an informal and friendly atmosphere. And since no one learns when under stress, we make sure we keep stress levels low. But we also make sure to offer plenty of challenge and lots of fun. Participants almost never fall asleep!

Questions and answers

We know that people learn what they want to learn and they learn at their own pace. For this reason we use techniques designed to help people formulate their own questions and then look for the answers.  They take charge of their own learning and participate actively.  As a result they learn a lot.

Key features

There are three key aspects to our approach

1  Stimulation

2  Encouragement

3  Choice

And research shows where all three are present, people learn faster and more efficiently.
